After 2 minutes, Hamílton Campidelis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wambalamba FC and the Cementerio Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Wambalamba FC's Hamílton Campidelis got a free kick in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Elodio in the 4th minute of play forced Wambalamba FC's goalkeeper João Pedro dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cementerio Club's Marcelo Dimas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinei Goiano in the 13th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Nicanor Araoz notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Wambalamba FC's João Pedro dos Santos. João Pedro dos Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nicanor Araoz's late challenge caught a Wambalamba FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nicanor Araoz helped the player get up and apologised. After 18 played minutes Cementerio Club got a freekick which was hit by Nicanor Araoz. 22 minutes into the match, Dinei Goiano notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Cementerio Club's Marcelo Dimas. Marcelo Dimas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 25th minute, Charly García hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute João Paulo Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Dimas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dário Diniz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wambalamba FC's goalkeeper João Pedro dos Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 35 minutes, Noel Carioca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wambalamba FC and the Cementerio Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Wambalamba FC's Noel Carioca got a free kick in the 35th minute. After some careless play in the Wambalamba FC defense, Fidel Rico kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of João Pedro dos Santos. The Wambalamba FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that João Pedro dos Santos should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fidel Rico in the 40th minute of play forced Wambalamba FC's goalkeeper João Pedro dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cementerio Club booed when Wambalamba FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Wambalamba FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cementerio Club were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fidel Rico to make the kick off. Nicanor Araoz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Pedro dos Santos having to interfere. Wambalamba FC's João Pedro dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Elodio in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cementerio Club's Benito Corderun got a free kick in the 64th minute. 66 minutes into the game, João Paulo Chaves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Marcelo Dimas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Cementerio Club's Nicanor Araoz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of João Pedro dos Santos. That made the score 2-3 after 74 minutes of play. Nereo Feo kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After 91 minutes of play, Wambalamba FC's Dinei Goiano made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelo Dimas was left in no man's land by his defense there!
