The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Vikingos FC getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute Pedro Jakes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Corrente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Apolo Giraldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonello Garibaldi in the 16th minute of play. Apolo Giraldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antonello Garibaldi in the 18th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ettore Zollino during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Vikingos FC booed when Medoacus Maior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ettore Zollino didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Gonzalo Argoitz took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Flavio Corrente to make any attempt to save it. After 28 played minutes Vikingos FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Jakes. Antonello Garibaldi hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Flavio Corrente made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Jakes in the 33rd minute. Flavio Corrente came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Vikingos FC's Gonzalo Argoitz. But to his dismay, Gonzalo Argoitz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Nicolai in the 45th minute of play forced Vikingos FC's goalkeeper Apolo Giraldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Jakes during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Vikingos FC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Pedro Jakes hit a great ball. Vikingos FC's Feliciano Chuan was substituted for Anier Chale. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gonzalo Argoitz to make the kick off. After 55 played minutes Vikingos FC got a freekick which was hit by Gonzalo Argoitz. Flavio Corrente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Argoitz in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonzalo Argoitz in the 64th minute of play forced Medoacus Maior's goalkeeper Flavio Corrente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Gonzalo Argoitz made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Corrente. Medoacus Maior's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Flavio Corrente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Honorato Aureo in the 70th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cornelio Leocadio in the 72nd minute of play forced Medoacus Maior's goalkeeper Flavio Corrente to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Medoacus Maior's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Argoitz came free, but Flavio Corrente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 77 minutes, Antonello Garibaldi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Medoacus Maior and the Vikingos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 77 played minutes Medoacus Maior got a freekick which was hit by Antonello Garibaldi. After 79 played minutes, Vikingos FC's Igor Havier shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Flavio Corrente came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vikingos FC reached it. Rodrigo Jakobe scored 5-0 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Flavio Corrente, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Flavio Corrente didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gonzalo Argoitz went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. The supporters of Vikingos FC booed when Medoacus Maior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davide Palone didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Gonzalo Argoitz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavio Corrente. Medoacus Maior's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gonzalo Argoitz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. Medoacus Maior's Flavio Corrente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gonzalo Argoitz in the 98th minute of play.
