The supporters of Monumento Sports booed when Medoacus Maior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davide Palone didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Medoacus Maior defense, Gernando Quintal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flavio Corrente. The Medoacus Maior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flavio Corrente should have stopped the shot. In the 36th minute, Luiz Gustavo Mazza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Monumento Sports's Pedrinho Neiva got a free kick in the 40th minute. After 46 played minutes, Monumento Sports's Diego Ramos shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Flavio Corrente came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Monumento Sports reached it. In the 48th minute Gernando Quintal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Corrente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Medoacus Maior players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Monumento Sports were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antonello Garibaldi to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Monumento Sports got a freekick which was hit by Pedrinho Neiva. Monumento Sports's Márcio Nunes quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Franco Nicolai, made in the 62nd minute of the game. Flavio Corrente made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Gernando Quintal sent off a good shot on target. Moisés Antunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristoforo Barbanti in the 72nd minute of play. Monumento Sports's Moisés Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristoforo Barbanti in the 75th minute of play. With a little luck, Medoacus Maior's Flavio Corrente got control of the ball when Gernando Quintal tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Medoacus Maior's Cristoforo Barbanti got a free kick in the 85th minute. Ettore Zollino kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The Monumento Sports supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Monumento Sports would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
