After a defensive mix-up in Bayern Boliviano's zone, Marquinhos Meirelles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alain Baroja came out of the goal and Marquinhos Meirelles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedro de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Onofre Abadia, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Pedro de Mendonça made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Onofre Abadia in the 17th minute of play. 20 minutes into the game, SC Bertioga's Wilson Favoretto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alain Baroja made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 23rd minute, Wilson Favoretto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Bertioga's Pedro de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Onofre Abadia in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute Onofre Abadia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro de Mendonça saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Favoretto kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, SC Bertioga's goal looked a bit too open when Onofre Abadia came free, but Pedro de Mendonça reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 37th minute of the game. One of SC Bertioga:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bayern Boliviano:s goal. The referee gave Bayern Boliviano a penalty, 39 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by José Caraballo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Bertioga's Pedro de Mendonça. 1-1. After 44 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Bertioga! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Onofre Abadia to make the kick off. In the 58th match minute, SC Bertioga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. Edu Penha's late challenge caught a Bayern Boliviano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edu Penha helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro de Mendonça showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Caraballo, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 65th minute of the match, Cruz Abellaneda tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pedro de Mendonça saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tonio Abad in the 66th minute of play forced SC Bertioga's goalkeeper Pedro de Mendonça to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SC Bertioga's Pedro de Mendonça proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save SC Bertioga from getting a goal against them. Marquinhos Meirelles struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Alain Baroja didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. SC Bertioga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bayern Boliviano the free kick. After a rather tough play, SC Bertioga's Donato Oliveira got a free kick in the 71st minute. Pedro de Mendonça made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Tonio Abad sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cruz Abellaneda in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro de Mendonça prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute, Donato Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of SC Bertioga booed when Bayern Boliviano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Caraballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro de Mendonça was a little too slow when Tonio Abad got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 1-4. Marquinhos Meirelles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Alain Baroja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bayern Boliviano's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
