After 17 minutes, Wilton Monteiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio Papão de WC and the Telge77 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Papão de WC's Wilton Monteiro got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute, Kjell-Arne Tunström fired a really elegant long shot, but Moisés da Silveira threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Eduardo Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Olle Söderkvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Grêmio Papão de WC's Alberto Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Grêmio Papão de WC made a substitution. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Georg Viklund was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Telge77 booed when Grêmio Papão de WC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horácio Prestes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven-Olof Sörman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moisés da Silveira having to interfere. Renato Netto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Olle Söderkvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Sven-Olof Sörman kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Grêmio Papão de WC's Moisés da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Olof Sörman in the 75th minute of play. Grêmio Papão de WC's Raí Paraibano managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Per Hellkvist in the 80 minute of the game. 83 minutes into the game, Herman Palmkvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Moisés da Silveira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Clóvis Faria charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Clóvis Faria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 86th minute, one of Grêmio Papão de WC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Grêmio Papão de WC. The referee gave Telge77 a penalty, 88 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Filiph Salkvist, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Grêmio Papão de WC's Moisés da Silveira. 2-0. In the 92nd minute, Sven-Olof Sörman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Telge77 walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
