Spectators: 165 (Terracing: 124, Seating: 38, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Amancio Magdaleno kicked off to start the match. Ubendu Loyass short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Ramon Calvino to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Danilo Frascuelo fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's protests and gave Danilo Frascuelo a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes NEWELL´S OLD BOYS got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Frascuelo. After a defensive mix-up in NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's zone, Ubendu Loyas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramon Calvino came out of the goal and Ubendu Loyas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fulgencio Caitano hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's zone, Ubendu Loyas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ramon Calvino came out of the goal and Ubendu Loyas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guido Folgoso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amancio Magdaleno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Ubendu Loyas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ramon Calvino was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. The corner led ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Ariando Belda to fire away a dangerous shot which Ramon Calvino despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Renato Viado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ramon Calvino. That made the score 1-0 after 24 minutes of play. ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Renato Viado got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 30 played minutes NEWELL´S OLD BOYS got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Balendin. After some careless play in the ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► defense, Amancio Magdaleno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guido Folgoso. The ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guido Folgoso should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ubendu Loyas to strike the kick off in the second half. Ciceron Castaño's late challenge caught a NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ciceron Castaño helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th match minute, ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►► was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ciceron Castaño to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the match, ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s goalkeeper Guido Folgoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Artemio Goiz. 68 minutes into the match, ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s goal looked a bit too open when Amancio Magdaleno came free, but Guido Folgoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 70th minute, Erasmo Fernendo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubendu Loyas in the 73rd minute of play forced NEWELL´S OLD BOYS's goalkeeper Ramon Calvino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ramon Calvino came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s Renato Viado. But to his dismay, Renato Viado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ubendu Loyas in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramon Calvino saved NEWELL´S OLD BOYS from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artemio Goiz got free with Guido Folgoso in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ramon Calvino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ubendu Loyas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute Amancio Magdaleno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Folgoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ubendu Loyas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Ramon Calvino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Renato Viado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. ◄◄Lucas Cerro Largo►►'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
