The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Club Atlético Escocia's Facundo Nahas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Waldir Netto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Ado in the 6th minute of play forced TRAKINAS FC's goalkeeper Waldir Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpected shot in the 10th minute by Deivid Mineiro got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Waldir Netto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pascual Ado's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. After a rather tough play, TRAKINAS FC's Gilvan Catarinense got a free kick in the 14th minute. A collision led to TRAKINAS FC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Betinho Breckenfeld hit a great ball. Club Atlético Escocia's Delmiro Iztal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Deivid Mineiro in the 21st minute of play. 28 minutes into the game, Aquiles Lazcano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Waldir Netto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Escocia's Flavio Ricart got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Delmiro Iztal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilvan Catarinense in the 34th minute of the match. In the 35th minute, Enrique Astrada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the match, Aquiles Lazcano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Waldir Netto. TRAKINAS FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aquiles Lazcano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 43 minutes into the match, TRAKINAS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Lazcano came free, but Waldir Netto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Club Atlético Escocia getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Natalio Oliveiro hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gilvan Catarinense to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Club Atlético Escocia's Lucas Quinto got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 66th minute, TRAKINAS FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Flavio Ricart fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 67th match minute, TRAKINAS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ediberto Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. Club Atlético Escocia made a substitution. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aquiles Lazcano couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Waldir Netto successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With 75 minutes on the clock, Paulo José Donatello commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in TRAKINAS FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 74th minute. Penalty! Waldir Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sebastian Selatse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waldir Netto made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Pascual Ado sent off a good shot on target. Pascual Ado took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Waldir Netto. Waldir Netto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. In the 90th minute Facundo Nahas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Netto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Flavio Ricart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldir Netto having to interfere. Flavio Ricart struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Waldir Netto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atlético Escocia. After 99 played minutes TRAKINAS FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Augusto Donatello. Club Atlético Escocia's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
