The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to SUPERSTAR - DMZ getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Nicolau Poças succeeded in the game's 9th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. If Adelino Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, SUPERSTAR - DMZ's Rafael Mineiro got control of the ball when Nicolau Poças tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rafael Mineiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusébio Carmo went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Virgílio Lisboa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rafael Mineiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Virgílio Lisboa slotted it home off the left post making it 4-0 in the 26th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SUPERSTAR - DMZ's zone, Nicolau Poças stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Mineiro came out of the goal and Nicolau Poças tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Nicolau Poças sped through SUPERSTAR - DMZ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rafael Mineiro. Nicolau Poças received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Rafael Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Carmona stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adriano Sergipano's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. After having played for 40 minutes, Nuno Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bacardi Black Bats's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nicolau Poças sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.
