The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kent Blomqvist hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. DUBAI Palm Jumeirah's Shaheen Al Ali played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kent Blomqvist in the 13th minute of play. Shaheen Al Ali took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kent Blomqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shaheen Al Ali stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kent Blomqvist's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Msaed Shamsah's late challenge caught a Wetterqvist Boys BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Msaed Shamsah helped the player get up and apologised. Msaed Shamsah hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Jon Sjöberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Shaheen Al Ali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bader Al Jalahma's late challenge caught a Wetterqvist Boys BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bader Al Jalahma helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th match minute, DUBAI Palm Jumeirah was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bader Al Jalahma to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Jon Sjöberg made a precise shot to the right of Shaheen Al Ali. DUBAI Palm Jumeirah's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kent Blomqvist in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Shaheen Al Ali prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to DUBAI Palm Jumeirah getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Bader Al Jalahma hit a great ball. Sivert Ekström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shaheen Al Ali having to interfere. Shaheen Al Ali came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Wetterqvist Boys BK's Kent Blomqvist. But to his dismay, Kent Blomqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Moath Al Ansari stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Oscar Östensson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Shaheen Al Ali, 0-3. Shaheen Al Ali made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sivert Ekström in the 55th minute of play. Kent Blomqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shaheen Al Ali having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Adrian Säv reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Shaheen Al Ali. The goal made the score 0-4. Wetterqvist Boys BK made a substitution. George Gullesson replaced Tony Andreasson. In the 89th minute, Wetterqvist Boys BK's Kent Blomqvist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Shaheen Al Ali. Shaheen Al Ali yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Jon Sjöberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shaheen Al Ali having to interfere. After a rather tough play, DUBAI Palm Jumeirah's Msaed Shamsah got a free kick in the 94th minute. DUBAI Palm Jumeirah's Shaheen Al Ali proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save DUBAI Palm Jumeirah from getting a goal against them.
