Spectators: 159 (Terracing: 120, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) EDI MZB's Tiago Machado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aníbal Velasco during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 5th match minute, EDI MZB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aníbal Velasco to maneuver through the defense. Olívio Soares's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Tarcisio Gerber - 0-1 was put on the score board in the 5th minute. After a defensive mix-up in EDI MZB's zone, Roberto Gama stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tarcisio Gerber came out of the goal and Roberto Gama tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tarcisio Gerber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivo Coutinho in the 12th minute of play. Tarcisio Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roberto Gama, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 17th match minute, EDI MZB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edi Souza to maneuver through the defense. 20 minutes into the match, Arrebimba o Malho SLB's goalkeeper Lúcio Lopes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Evandro Maia. Evandro Maia's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lúcio Lopes firmly grabbed it by the left post. Arrebimba o Malho SLB's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Tiago Machado scored to the left of an out of position Lúcio Lopes, making the score, 1-1. The audience was convinced that Tiago Machado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lúcio Lopes was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. A collision led to Arrebimba o Malho SLB getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Olívio Soares hit a great ball. A hard shot by Evandro Maia from long distance, 33 minutes into the match, got Lúcio Lopes's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. 34 minutes into the match, Arrebimba o Malho SLB's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Machado came free, but Lúcio Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tarcisio Gerber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Gama in the 39th minute of the match. Lúcio Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evandro Maia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Lúcio Lopes made a huge save. Lúcio Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Machado in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute of the match, Tiago Machado tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lúcio Lopes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Roberto Gama stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Machado in the 55th minute of play forced Arrebimba o Malho SLB's goalkeeper Lúcio Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute Tiago Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arrebimba o Malho SLB's Roberto Gama got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 63 played minutes Arrebimba o Malho SLB got a freekick which was hit by Rogério Azenha. Tiago Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toine Carioca's late challenge caught a EDI MZB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toine Carioca helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Toine Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 67 played minutes, EDI MZB's Evandro Maia shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Lúcio Lopes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in EDI MZB reached it. Lúcio Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Machado, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Lúcio Lopes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiago Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, EDI MZB's Hélio Baiano got a free kick in the 73rd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Arrebimba o Malho SLB's Olívio Soares tried to score from far away in the 74th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tiago Machado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lúcio Lopes having to make a save. A collision led to EDI MZB getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Tiago Machado hit a great ball. Tarcisio Gerber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivo Coutinho in the 82nd minute. Toine Carioca got his second yellow card in the match during the 83rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After recieving a nice pass, EDI MZB's Evandro Maia tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Arrebimba o Malho SLB's Ivo Coutinho got a free kick in the 86th minute. Tarcisio Gerber made an important save on a dangerous shot by Januário Martins in the 94th minute. The Arrebimba o Malho SLB players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented EDI MZB from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
