Ralf Meier in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fernan Rio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 16 played minutes Islas FC got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Iruinea. In the 21st match minute, Islas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Lonzo to maneuver through the defense. When Ciriaco Andersen came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the SC Night Cats fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ciriaco Andersen couldn't finish the play. Oskar Götze took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Acevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 26 minutes, Ermegildo Joey made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. SC Night Cats's Oskar Götze tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Narciso Acevedo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Oskar Götze was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Oskar Götze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ermegildo Joey in the 30th minute of the match. SC Night Cats's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Islas FC the free kick. Steffen Kündgen kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Severino Casomiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oskar Götze. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Severino Casomiro ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ermegildo Joey to strike the kick off in the second half. Severino Casomiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Oskar Götze made a huge save. In the 52nd minute Ermegildo Joey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oskar Götze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 54 minutes into the match, SC Night Cats's goalkeeper Oskar Götze had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ermegildo Joey. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Joey in the 55th minute of play forced SC Night Cats's goalkeeper Oskar Götze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oskar Götze stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ermegildo Joey's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. In the 81st minute, Ralf Meier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 82 played minutes Islas FC got a freekick which was hit by Severino Joanes. If Ciriaco Andersen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 92nd minute of the match Franz Schlesiger sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernan Rio skillfully saved the ball. In the 93rd minute Robert Müller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernan Rio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Islas FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Islas FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
