Dillon McDonough made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcelino Herena in the 19th minute. In the 28th minute, Hector Orixe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Marcelino Herena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Pantera Azulgrana fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. The supporters of Racing Miami Futbol Club booed when La Pantera Azulgrana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Racing Miami Futbol Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Manuel Erramun ran over to the corner to take the kick. La Pantera Azulgrana's Manuel Erramun was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dillon McDonough in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Cedric Glover charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cedric Glover the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Justo Karmel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cedric Glover's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Dillon McDonough didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Pantera Azulgrana. With a little luck, La Pantera Azulgrana's Justo Karmel got control of the ball when Abe Hoyt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Justo Karmel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abe Hoyt's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Gaston Bartolome didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, La Pantera Azulgrana's Tadeo Txurio got a free kick in the 62nd minute. In the 79th minute, Manuel Erramun sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Racing Miami Futbol Club's Dillon McDonough didn't even have to move. Dillon McDonough took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Orixe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Justo Karmel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abe Hoyt in the 84th minute of play. La Pantera Azulgrana's Justo Karmel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abe Hoyt in the 86th minute of play. After 92 played minutes Racing Miami Futbol Club got a freekick which was hit by Santos Metcalf. 94 minutes into the match, Racing Miami Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Hector Orixe came free, but Dillon McDonough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. La Pantera Azulgrana were awarded a corner in the 95th minute after Racing Miami Futbol Club's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Manuel Erramun took the corner. Manuel Erramun made a great header on La Pantera Azulgrana's corner, it was just that Racing Miami Futbol Club's Dillon McDonough managed to reach the ball for a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hector Orixe in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dillon McDonough prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Hector Orixe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dillon McDonough was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. La Pantera Azulgrana's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
