Dylan Paelinck's late challenge caught a Halcones Azules's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dylan Paelinck helped the player get up and apologised. 10 minutes into the game, Ward Reiniers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Vicente Berdoi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Royal Antwerp FC booed when Halcones Azules was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Timo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Urbano Harriet kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Royal Antwerp FC's Ward Reiniers sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vicente Berdoi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alexandre Van Kamp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Berdoi having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Halcones Azules's zone, Alexandre Van Kamp stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Berdoi came out of the goal and Alexandre Van Kamp tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Urbano Harriet made a kick off. Ward Reiniers's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vicente Berdoi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Royal Antwerp FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frederick Vereect in the 55th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Halcones Azules's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Van Kamp came free, but Vicente Berdoi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute, Ward Reiniers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vicente Berdoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Edgardo Malvin kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Halcones Azules's zone, Ward Reiniers stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicente Berdoi came out of the goal and Ward Reiniers tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Royal Antwerp FC's Alexandre Van Kamp got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Alexandre Van Kamp managed to get in a good position for a shot. Royal Antwerp FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Van Kamp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Berdoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 75 played minutes, Royal Antwerp FC's Luk Van Clynenbreugel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vicente Berdoi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Royal Antwerp FC reached it. With a little luck, Royal Antwerp FC's William Weggers got control of the ball when Urbano Harriet tried to sneak it across the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Robbrecht De Metser was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Royal Antwerp FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Halcones Azules the free kick. After a rather tough play, Royal Antwerp FC's Robbrecht De Metser got a free kick in the 77th minute. Halcones Azules's Esteban Totakoxe was substituted for Nicasio Calvet. Halcones Azules made a substitution. Armando Monico replaced Genaro Mendiko. A collision led to Royal Antwerp FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Robbrecht De Metser hit a great ball. In the 84th minute, Urbano Harriet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Ward Reiniers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vicente Berdoi. Halcones Azules's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ward Reiniers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ward Reiniers in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicente Berdoi saved Halcones Azules from getting behind. In the 92nd match minute, Halcones Azules was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Ikatz to maneuver through the defense. Alexandre Van Kamp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Berdoi having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Halcones Azules players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Royal Antwerp FC.
