Witomir Siekierski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Guter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Lyons's goal looked a bit too open when Piotr Maziarski came free, but Victoriano Ferran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lech Domalik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victoriano Ferran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacek Ikalewicz in the 18th minute of play. Lyons's Victoriano Ferran proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Lyons from getting a goal against them. Bociany SA's Witomir Siekierski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clodoveo Llanos in the 25th minute of play. Piotr Maziarski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Victoriano Ferran came out and tried to block the shot, but Piotr Maziarski slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 27th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teofilo Baladi during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 32 played minutes Lyons got a freekick which was hit by Teofilo Baladi. After 33 played minutes Bociany SA got a freekick which was hit by Jacek Ikalewicz. After some careless play in the Bociany SA defense, Clodoveo Llanos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Witomir Siekierski. The Bociany SA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Witomir Siekierski should have stopped the shot. After 45 minutes, Narciso Guter made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Bociany SA's Witomir Siekierski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Lyons were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes into the match, Lech Domalik had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victoriano Ferran. Lyons's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lech Domalik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. The supporters of Lyons booed when Bociany SA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zenon Czysty didn't get a good kick on the ball. Witomir Siekierski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Narciso Guter in the 59th minute. Narciso Guter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Witomir Siekierski made a huge save. Witomir Siekierski was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Clodoveo Llanos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Clodoveo Llanos really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. 66 minutes into the game, Jorge Enol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lyons's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bociany SA the free kick. The supporters of Bociany SA booed when Lyons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Enol didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jaime Miliano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bociany SA's Witomir Siekierski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Bociany SA from getting a goal against them. Clodoveo Llanos kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. The supporters of Lyons booed when Bociany SA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olgierd Przewozik didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 75 in the game by Narciso Guter from a close distance when the talented Witomir Siekierski managed to make a qualified save. Bociany SA's players were relieved. Narciso Guter's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Witomir Siekierski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Lech Domalik might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Victoriano Ferran. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lech Domalik ran back to his position shaking his head. Witomir Siekierski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Narciso Guter in the 83rd minute. Narciso Guter succeeded in the game's 88th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-4. In the 94th minute of the match, Narciso Guter got a very nice opportunity to score, but Witomir Siekierski was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lyons walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
