The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Berat Arslangiray made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rami Lehto in the 4th minute. When Raimo Niemi came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Palloketut fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raimo Niemi couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Senator S.A.K's zone, Iivo Mäkitalo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Berat Arslangiray came out of the goal and Iivo Mäkitalo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Berat Arslangiray came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Palloketut's Rami Lehto. But to his dismay, Rami Lehto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Enginsu Toprak hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Berat Arslangiray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Raimo Niemi, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. With a little luck, Senator S.A.K's Berat Arslangiray got control of the ball when Rami Lehto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Enginsu Toprak kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Antti Furuholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 35 minutes, Yahya Yaltıray mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Senator S.A.K and the Palloketut players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes Senator S.A.K got a freekick which was hit by Yahya Yaltıray. Senator S.A.K's Berat Arslangiray proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Senator S.A.K from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Raimo Niemi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Berat Arslangiray was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Senator S.A.K's Yahya Yaltıray got a free kick in the 44th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jari Lehtinen got free with Berat Arslangiray in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jari Lehtinen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Berat Arslangiray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iivo Mäkitalo in the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jari Lehtinen in the 59th minute of play forced Senator S.A.K's goalkeeper Berat Arslangiray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 64 minutes of play, Palloketut's Jari Lehtinen made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Berat Arslangiray was left in no man's land by his defense there! 67 minutes into the game, Raimo Niemi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Berat Arslangiray was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 70 minutes into the game, Jari Lehtinen cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Berat Arslangiray was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Aarre Lajunen's late challenge caught a Senator S.A.K's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain.
