Alan Britto came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by PIAUÍ FC's Agnaldo Sá. But to his dismay, Agnaldo Sá quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 6th minute Abel Donatello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateus Moreno struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Alan Britto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PIAUÍ FC. 17 minutes into the game, Abel Donatello cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Alan Britto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute, PIAUÍ FC's Mateus Moreno ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alan Britto. Alan Britto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. Murilo Nølev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Betinho Brodel in the 30th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel Donatello in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alan Britto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Betinho Brodel's late challenge caught a PIAUÍ FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Betinho Brodel helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of PIAUÍ FC booed when Maricá FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Betinho Brodel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute Abel Donatello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maricá FC's Alan Britto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agnaldo Sá in the 38th minute of play. Alan Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Donatello in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, PIAUÍ FC's Agnaldo Sá sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alan Britto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

In the 52nd minute Betinho Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Murilo Nølev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute, Agnaldo Sá got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Abel Donatello's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alan Britto was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Flávio Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alan Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agnaldo Sá in the 66th minute of play. Alan Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Donatello in the 68th minute of play. If Betinho Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alan Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agnaldo Sá in the 71st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Telmo Amorim during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Telmo Amorim hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Alan Britto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Abel Donatello's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Flávio Mendonça managed to get in a good position for a shot. PIAUÍ FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Flávio Mendonça was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alan Britto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alan Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Donatello in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Maricá FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus Moreno came free, but Alan Britto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot by Frédson Tasso from long distance, 95 minutes into the match, got Murilo Nølev's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. PIAUÍ FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
