Ezequiel Barral hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Diego Martins's late challenge caught a StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diego Martins helped the player get up and apologised. In the 14th match minute, Independente FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Martins to maneuver through the defense. Augusto Vachon scored 0-2 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nestor Quintal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's Teo Bernaldo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's Abelardo Monico got a free kick in the 31st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcel Mendes got free with Teo Bernaldo in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 39 minutes into the match, Independente FC's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo Monico came free, but Nestor Quintal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute, Independente FC's Zé Carlos de Azevedo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. After a rather tough play, StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's Primitivo Ezkerra got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Vítor Rodrigues stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Primitivo Ezkerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 55th minute, José Vítor Rodrigues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the game, Abelardo Monico recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nestor Quintal. Abelardo Monico showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-3. Diego Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. The supporters of StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 booed when Independente FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Carlos de Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Independente FC's zone, Primitivo Ezkerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sergio Florian blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nestor Quintal having to make a save. The attack was good, but when Abelardo Monico in the 80th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Augusto Vachon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Nestor Quintal made a huge save. A collision led to Independente FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Ezequiel Barral hit a great ball. Eliseo Mantzio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 86th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nestor Quintal. Independente FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Aquiles Iruinea was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Independente FC the free kick. In the 89th minute, Aquiles Iruinea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcel Mendes scored 2-3 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teo Bernaldo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched StarwarsNoAbandona9-12-18 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
