The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Portus Ganda's Loid Franckx got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Loid Franckx's late challenge caught a Desportivo Coala's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Loid Franckx helped the player get up and apologised. Loid Franckx hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. When Roger Hoolemans fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Portus Ganda's protests and gave Roger Hoolemans a yellow card for diving instead. After 13 played minutes, Desportivo Coala's Mazinho Silveira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nils Robin came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Desportivo Coala reached it. 13 minutes into the match, Desportivo Coala's Víktor Hoffmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nils Robin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 15th minute Roger Hoolemans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Orlando Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lennert Van Den Bosch, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Roger Hoolemans made a precise shot to the right of Orlando Silva. Desportivo Coala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Orlando Silva didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lennert Van Den Bosch went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 29 minutes into the game, Serginho Brito recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nils Robin. Serginho Brito showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. In the 32nd minute, Danny Spoelberchs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nils Robin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mazinho Silveira in the 36th minute of the match. When Clóvis Lima fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Desportivo Coala's protests and gave Clóvis Lima a yellow card for diving instead. Clóvis Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

After 50 played minutes Desportivo Coala got a freekick which was hit by Serginho Brito. After having played for 53 minutes, Mazinho Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Desportivo Coala's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mazinho Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 55 minutes into the game, Mazinho Silveira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Nils Robin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 60th match minute, Portus Ganda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger Hoolemans to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute Ivo Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nils Robin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Desportivo Coala getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Mazinho Silveira hit a great ball. Clóvis Lima took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nils Robin. Nils Robin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. After a rather tough play, Desportivo Coala's Mazinho Silveira got a free kick in the 87th minute. In the 93rd match minute, Desportivo Coala was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serginho Brito to maneuver through the defense.
