Mixto Esporte Clube's Germano Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sverker Fanström in the 7th minute of play. José Vítor Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Mixto Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Olof Duset came free, but Germano Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, one of Mixto Esporte Clube:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Jan-Olof Duset recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to MaLe FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Joachim Möllgren hit a great ball. In the 28th minute, Marcus Hermes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sverker Fanström's late challenge caught a Mixto Esporte Clube's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sverker Fanström helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mixto Esporte Clube booed when MaLe FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sverker Fanström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arne Blomqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Vítor Vergílio in the 33rd minute. With a little luck, MaLe FC's Arne Blomqvist got control of the ball when José Vítor Vergílio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ingemar Larsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arne Blomqvist was a little too slow when José Vítor Vergílio got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 36th minute. The score was now 1-1. After 40 played minutes Mixto Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Kléberson Rosado. MaLe FC's Joakim Biörkman couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 41st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mixto Esporte Clube. Kauan Seco hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute of the match Joakim Biörkman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Germano Galvão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ingemar Larsson was the one to do the kick off. Mixto Esporte Clube's Germano Galvão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Olof Duset in the 52nd minute of play. Ingemar Larsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Germano Galvão having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kléberson Rosado during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Mixto Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Kléberson Rosado hit a great ball. Germano Galvão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ingemar Larsson in the 67th minute. Ivar Ekgren kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Ingemar Larsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ingemar Larsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match, Mixto Esporte Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Olof Duset came free, but Germano Galvão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 89 minutes, José Vítor Vergílio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mixto Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Vítor Vergílio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marcus Hermes took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arne Blomqvist. Arne Blomqvist dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Mixto Esporte Clube's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
