Bruno Ritchie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Owen Gill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucien Simon in the 25th minute of play forced O rey Iván's goalkeeper Bruno Ritchie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, O rey Iván's Israel Cesario got a free kick in the 26th minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Owen Gill managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EL LOBO DE MIAMI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Owen Gill was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of EL LOBO DE MIAMI booed when O rey Iván was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Romero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sanford Byrd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Dei in the 36th minute of the match. Sanford Byrd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Sedeni, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Bruno Ritchie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Owen Gill in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 51st match minute, EL LOBO DE MIAMI was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rufus Cross to maneuver through the defense. Kareem Kuhn charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kareem Kuhn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to EL LOBO DE MIAMI getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Kareem Kuhn hit a great ball. If Javiero Núñez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 65 played minutes O rey Iván got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Romero. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Owen Gill in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Ritchie prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 75 minutes into the match, EL LOBO DE MIAMI's goal looked a bit too open when Horacio Txaran came free, but Sanford Byrd reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute, Owen Gill left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The EL LOBO DE MIAMI fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. 81 minutes into the game, Benito Dei cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Sanford Byrd was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 84 minutes in the game Kareem Kuhn did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Javiero Núñez. Bruno Ritchie made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Javiero Núñez in the 88th minute of play. Lucien Simon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kareem Kuhn lost his temper 93 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in EL LOBO DE MIAMI fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Sanford Byrd, was totally fooled by O rey Iván's Benito Dei, who 94 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
