In the 6th minute Nastasio Riba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt Fanström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathan Alberg in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carles Roig prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Xines Macho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 18 played minutes FLAMENGO San Sebastian got a freekick which was hit by Xines Macho. Bengt Fanström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nastasio Riba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25thth minute of the game Jonathan Alberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FLAMENGO San Sebastian's Carles Roig was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 30 minutes into the match, FLAMENGO San Sebastian's Robin Le Normand sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bengt Fanström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vito Ecija fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bengt Fanström having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, FLAMENGO San Sebastian was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymon Gimeno to maneuver through the defense. 45 minutes into the match, Rörvik BK's goalkeeper Bengt Fanström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xines Macho. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

FLAMENGO San Sebastian's Candido Urbina was substituted for Santiago Vera. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xines Macho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Robin Le Normand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carles Roig made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Ingemar Nordström sent off a good shot on target. Carles Roig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonathan Alberg's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. Douglas Glad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carles Roig having to make a save. When Giorgio Olano came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the FLAMENGO San Sebastian fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Giorgio Olano couldn't finish the play. Vito Ecija sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. FLAMENGO San Sebastian's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
