An unexpectedly hard shot by Reasco Abres in the 20th minute of play forced Pó de DiaManTe FMZ 4ÉVER's goalkeeper Glauco Seco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Glauco Seco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Glauco Seco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anibal Mortal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dário do Valle got free with Leandro Candina in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vânderson Vaz during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vânderson Vaz hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Anibal Mortal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Deportivo Santiago fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Club Deportivo Santiago's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Davi Leite was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportivo Santiago's zone, Ramiro Penha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Candina came out of the goal and Ramiro Penha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Victoriano Guim fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportivo Santiago's protests and gave Victoriano Guim a yellow card for diving instead. In the 69th minute, Victoriano Guim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ian Maranhense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leandro Candina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Durval Barreto hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match.
