The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leandro Candina showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportivo Santiago's zone, Marcelo Tomi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Candina came out of the goal and Marcelo Tomi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Barsa FC fully deserved thier win.
