LİONS PEAK's Tuncay Eldem proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save LİONS PEAK from getting a goal against them. Ahmet Koralp Yıldırım's late challenge caught a Albirex Niigata FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ahmet Koralp Yıldırım helped the player get up and apologised. In the 22nd match minute, LİONS PEAK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Koralp Yıldırım to maneuver through the defense. Tuncay Eldem was a little too slow when Afriz Hian got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 1-0. 32 minutes into the game, LİONS PEAK's Ahmet Koralp Yıldırım nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Daniel Chuan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 41 played minutes Albirex Niigata FC got a freekick which was hit by Wei Xuan Chandran. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baycan Şevket to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 55 minutes, Gerard Hoe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Albirex Niigata FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gerard Hoe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th minute, Gerard Hoe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Clive Hsin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Chuan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Koralp Yıldırım in the 63rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Baycan Şevket got free with Daniel Chuan in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Chuan stood somewhat misplaced when Baycan Şevket came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 66 minute. After a rather tough play, Albirex Niigata FC's Mujahid Teo got a free kick in the 68th minute. Clive Politiek was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 72 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Albirex Niigata FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty! If Afriz Hian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mustafa Necati Köksal fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LİONS PEAK's protests and gave Mustafa Necati Köksal a yellow card for diving instead. After 78 played minutes LİONS PEAK got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Necati Köksal. Alexander Tan's late challenge caught a LİONS PEAK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexander Tan helped the player get up and apologised. Daniel Chuan came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by LİONS PEAK's Baycan Şevket. But to his dismay, Baycan Şevket quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. 89 minutes into the game, Afriz Hian was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Albirex Niigata FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LİONS PEAK the free kick. After 89 played minutes Albirex Niigata FC got a freekick which was hit by Afriz Hian. Tuncay Eldem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Cho in the 94th minute of play. 94 minutes into the game, John Cho cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Tuncay Eldem was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
