The crowd rose to their feet as Oğuzalp Orgun kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristi Berbec. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Emilian Martínez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viorel Doloman in the 10th minute of the match. Cristi Berbec made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Hulusi Kurtuluş sent off a good shot on target. When FC Izesti's Viorel Doloman in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Predators's goalie prevented a goal. Sergiu Codreanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viorel Doloman in the 28th minute of play forced Predators's goalkeeper Emilian Martínez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oğuzalp Orgun in the 31st minute of play forced FC Izesti's goalkeeper Cristi Berbec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Izesti were furious when Nicu Biriș was red carded, 32 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 33rd match minute, FC Izesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicu Biriș to maneuver through the defense. Oğuzalp Orgun was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Emilian Martínez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergiu Codreanu in the 39th minute of play. FC Izesti were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Predators's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Iacob Spelbu took the corner. The corner led FC Izesti's Iacob Spelbu to fire away a dangerous shot which Emilian Martínez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Predators's Emilian Martínez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Mironov in the 43rd minute of play. The supporters of Predators booed when FC Izesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Mironov didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hulusi Kurtuluş stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sergiu Codreanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilian Martínez having to interfere. When Sergiu Codreanu came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the FC Izesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergiu Codreanu couldn't finish the play. In the 55th minute, Oğuzalp Orgun ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristi Berbec was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After a rather tough play, FC Izesti's Sergiu Codreanu got a free kick in the 60th minute. 64 minutes in the game, Sergiu Codreanu fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Emilian Martínez having to interfere. If Sergiu Codreanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oğuzalp Orgun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to FC Izesti getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Petru Borcea hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the match, Sergiu Codreanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emilian Martínez. Predators's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sergiu Codreanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Emilian Martínez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sergiu Codreanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Predators fans cheered their team off the field, for while FC Izesti had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
