The supporters of The Owls booed when Predators was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samir Cangiray didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petruț Alecu in the 10th minute of play forced Predators's goalkeeper Yahya Kemal Özgebay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, The Owls's Francisc Rădulescu got control of the ball when Hulusi Kurtuluş tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eugen Hrușcă hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Petruț Alecu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match clock showed 25 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Petruț Alecu sped through Predators's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Yahya Kemal Özgebay. Yahya Kemal Özgebay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantin Ifrim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Petruț Alecu during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th minute, Petruț Alecu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 32 minutes into the match, Constantin Ifrim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yahya Kemal Özgebay. Predators's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Constantin Ifrim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Yahya Kemal Özgebay came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by The Owls's Constantin Ifrim. But to his dismay, Constantin Ifrim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Petruț Alecu might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yahya Kemal Özgebay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Petruț Alecu ran back to his position shaking his head. Yahya Kemal Özgebay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantin Ifrim in the 46th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Petruț Alecu made a kick off. With an all-out effort, The Owls's Yahya Kemal Özgebay threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Petruț Alecu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When The Owls's Petruț Alecu in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Predators's goalie prevented a goal. Bektaş Ali Biçimli charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Predators's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Petruț Alecus short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Yahya Kemal Özgebay to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Yahya Kemal Özgebay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iustin Chira in the 69th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Petruț Alecu in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Yahya Kemal Özgebay saved Predators from getting behind. Petruț Alecus short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Yahya Kemal Özgebay to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 82nd match minute, Predators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oğuzalp Orgun to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute, Çelik Ömür hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Doru Negrescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The The Owls fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when The Owls's Petruț Alecu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-8 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Owls's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
