The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ booed when Average Joes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anton Kinnman didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by William Backman during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 9th match minute, Average Joes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Backman to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, Average Joes's goal looked a bit too open when Sílvio Luís de Souza came free, but Andréas Lundin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Hudson Melo hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emerson Motta got free with Andréas Lundin in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andréas Lundin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emerson Motta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oswaldo Nunes came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Average Joes's Orvar Blom. But to his dismay, Orvar Blom quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Emerson Motta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andréas Lundin having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Rafinha Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafinha Lopez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andréas Lundin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Average Joes's Otto Blom got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 31st minute of the match William Backman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oswaldo Nunes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 35th minute, Hudson Melo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emerson Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Andréas Lundin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafinha Lopez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andréas Lundin having to interfere. In the 42nd play minute Evaristo Mello came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Andréas Lundin. 1-2. Andréas Lundin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emerson Motta in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

55 minutes into the match, Average Joes's goal looked a bit too open when Emerson Motta came free, but Andréas Lundin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nando de Queiroz in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andréas Lundin saved Average Joes from getting behind. 61 minutes into the match, ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Rafinha Lopez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andréas Lundin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. William Backman kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. A collision led to ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Emerson Motta hit a great ball. Oswaldo Nunes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 71st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rune Rundberg. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's Oswaldo Nunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orvar Blom in the 72nd minute of play. William Backman got his second yellow card in the match during the 76th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 76th minute, William Backman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tiaguinho Hermes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 77th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Andréas Lundin. Average Joes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Emerson Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot. ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ's supporters rose to their feet, but Emerson Motta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andréas Lundin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Average Joes players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented ҜƗŇǤ ŁƗØŇ Ř€Đ βŁΔĆҜ from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
