Wilian Cearense might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilvan Sanches. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilian Cearense ran back to his position shaking his head. 8 minutes into the match, Renascer's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo de Moraes came free, but Gilvan Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Wilian Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 15 played minutes SeleSantos FC got a freekick which was hit by Eurico Prestes. When Dito Brodel came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Renascer fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dito Brodel couldn't finish the play. Washington Guerra charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Washington Guerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of SeleSantos FC booed when Renascer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cauã Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 minutes, Wilian Cearense made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Renascer's Gilvan Sanches tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 27 played minutes SeleSantos FC got a freekick which was hit by Mané Sá. Tales Siqueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Ceresso, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Renascer were awarded a corner in the 31th minute after SeleSantos FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cauã Antunes took the corner. When Bruno Duarte fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Renascer's protests and gave Bruno Duarte a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Renascer getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Bruno Duarte hit a great ball. In the 38th minute Cléber Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilvan Sanches saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tales Siqueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dito Brodel in the 44th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Washington Guerra was the one to do the kick off. Mané Sá struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Gilvan Sanches didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SeleSantos FC. Tales Siqueira came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Renascer's Dito Brodel. But to his dismay, Dito Brodel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dito Brodel got free with Tales Siqueira in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 71 minutes into the game, Cléber Lima cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Gilvan Sanches was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 76 minutes into the game, Cléber Lima threw the ball into play from the sideline. Renascer's Artur Ceresso quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Gilvan Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilian Cearense, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Gilvan Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wilian Cearense in the 80th minute of the match. SeleSantos FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
