Renascer's attentive Eusébio Aparecido managed to snatch the ball when Juha-Pekka Joenväärä made a throw-in in the 3rd minute of the game. Gilvan Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kosti Kukkonen in the 4th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kaarle Väätäinen in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilvan Sanches prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tauno Kivimäki in the 6th minute of play forced Renascer's goalkeeper Gilvan Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilvan Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vesa Markkanen, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Artur Ceresso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niilo Vähäsavo having to interfere. Kosti Kukkonen hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute, Jan Kuokkanen made a precise shot to the right of Gilvan Sanches. Renascer's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. If Dito Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Renascer getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Washington Guerra hit a great ball. Jan Kuokkanen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 34th match minute, Savon Palloseura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaarle Väätäinen to maneuver through the defense. Gilvan Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vesa Markkanen in the 36th minute of play. The Renascer players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Savon Palloseura were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vesa Markkanen made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Vesa Markkanen made a precise shot to the right of Gilvan Sanches. Renascer's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Renascer's zone, Vesa Markkanen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilvan Sanches came out of the goal and Vesa Markkanen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dito Brodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gilvan Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tauno Kivimäki in the 63rd minute of play. The supporters of Renascer booed when Savon Palloseura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Kuokkanen didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the game, Renascer's Washington Guerra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Niilo Vähäsavo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Vesa Markkanen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Gilvan Sanches made a huge save. In the 72nd match minute, Savon Palloseura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan Kuokkanen to maneuver through the defense. Washington Guerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tauno Kivimäki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilvan Sanches having to interfere. Niilo Vähäsavo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dito Brodel in the 79th minute of the match. Niilo Vähäsavo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dito Brodel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute Artur Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Niilo Vähäsavo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 84th match minute, Savon Palloseura was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kaarle Väätäinen to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the match, Renascer's goal looked a bit too open when Tauno Kivimäki came free, but Gilvan Sanches reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Renascer supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Savon Palloseura's performance. The match ended with a win for Savon Palloseura.
