After 21st play minutes Leonard Caragea shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Mateus de Senna and just under the crossbar into goal. Buffalo Timişoara's Ilie Mavrogheni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artur França in the 39th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Juventus EC's goal looked a bit too open when Gelu Ţeica came free, but Mateus de Senna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Juventus EC's Afonso Luz got a free kick in the 41st minute. In the 42nd minute of the match Mugur Hudiță sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mateus de Senna skillfully saved the ball. Mateus de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonard Caragea in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute Gelu Ţeica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mateus de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonard Caragea made a kick off. Manole Mihăescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Mateus de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Buffalo Timişoara's Mugur Covataru was substituted for Gelu Ţeica. Mateus de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mugur Covataru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 83 played minutes Juventus EC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Sanches. Buffalo Timişoara's Mugur Hudiță shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 84th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Mateus de Senna but with some difficulty. The audience was convinced that Mugur Covataru's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mateus de Senna was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mugur Covataru in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mateus de Senna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Matei Pupăzan was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 88 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Buffalo Timişoara's Vlad Albulescu got a free kick in the 90th minute. The Juventus EC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Buffalo Timişoara were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
