In the 4th minute, AFC Barcelona's Petru Ghioane ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hakan Ilıca. Hakan Ilıca yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. With a little luck, Karaelmas's Hakan Ilıca got control of the ball when Vasile Hidiș tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sandu Colin kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Karaelmas's Hakan Ilıca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petru Ghioane in the 20th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in AFC Barcelona fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 23rd minute. Penalty! Sandu Gabrea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berat Akil in the 30th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Barcelona's zone, Serhan Satvet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sandu Gabrea came out of the goal and Serhan Satvet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hakan Ilıca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Petru Ghioane in the 35th minute. After a rather tough play, Karaelmas's Berat Akil got a free kick in the 37th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petru Ghioane to make the kick off. Hakan Ilıca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Petru Ghioane, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hakan Ilıca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasile Hidiș, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Hakan Ilıca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cazimir Cangeopol in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd match minute, AFC Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandu Colin to maneuver through the defense. Yağızhan Haksever blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sandu Gabrea having to make a save. Hakan Ilıca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasile Hidiș, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Karaelmas's goalkeeper Hakan Ilıca, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 78th minute of the game Sandu Colin made a throw-in which Aurelian Iurea played forward. In the 81st minute, Vasile Hidiș left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AFC Barcelona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. 85 minutes into the game, Petru Ghioane cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Hakan Ilıca was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 90th minute, Petru Ghioane ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hakan Ilıca was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. In the 99th minute Petru Ghioane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hakan Ilıca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the AFC Barcelona players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
