The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Ubaldo Abancens fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sportivo Constitución's protests and gave Ubaldo Abancens a yellow card for diving instead. In the 7th minute, Lucjan Sochacki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Haroldo Raymon stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maciek Hana's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. In the 16th minute, Agustin Sotil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cezary Pryla kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eloy Igon in the 20th minute of play forced Śląsk Bytom's goalkeeper Tytus Koprowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 28 minutes of play, Śląsk Bytom's Maciek Hana made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Haroldo Raymon was left in no man's land by his defense there! Haroldo Raymon dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. After the first half Śląsk Bytom were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Siro Argenis made the kick off in the second half. Sportivo Constitución's Ubaldo Abancens got his second yellow card of the match in the 54th minute. Haroldo Raymon was a little too slow when Slawomir Karp got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-5. In the 69th minute, Slawomir Karp reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Haroldo Raymon. The goal made the score 0-6. Sportivo Constitución made a substitution. Rosendo Napier replaced Adan Celio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Slawomir Karp in the 79th minute of play forced Sportivo Constitución's goalkeeper Haroldo Raymon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cezary Pryla's late challenge caught a Sportivo Constitución's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cezary Pryla helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sportivo Constitución booed when Śląsk Bytom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cezary Pryla didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Śląsk Bytom's Slawomir Karp dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. Cezary Majkowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lázaro Errando hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. If Slawomir Karp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rosendo Napier during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 95th minute, Rosendo Napier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Sportivo Constitución's Siro Argenis got a free kick in the 97th minute. Śląsk Bytom's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
