In the 4th minute Cléber de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Cetnar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 4th match minute, Shaolin soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wit Kajder to maneuver through the defense. 6 minutes into the match, Glauco Paranaense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emil Cetnar. Shaolin soccer's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Glauco Paranaense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 10th minute, Luís de Lara made a precise shot to the right of Emil Cetnar. Shaolin soccer's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Lauro Linhares made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zbigniew Czerner in the 14th minute. CE LAJEADENSE RS's Lauro Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwan Czapski in the 15th minute of play. Emil Cetnar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliézer Ramos in the 17th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Glauco Paranaense in the 18th minute of play forced Shaolin soccer's goalkeeper Emil Cetnar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shaolin soccer's Emil Cetnar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís de Lara in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliézer Ramos in the 23rd minute of play forced Shaolin soccer's goalkeeper Emil Cetnar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eliézer Ramos fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CE LAJEADENSE RS's protests and gave Eliézer Ramos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Shaolin soccer booed when CE LAJEADENSE RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliézer Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lauro Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zbigniew Czerner in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th match minute, Shaolin soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Krzysztof Osielski to maneuver through the defense. Emil Cetnar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Glauco Paranaense went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Emil Cetnar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís de Lara in the 41st minute of play. Marcinho das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zbigniew Czerner made a kick off. After 51 minutes of play, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Glauco Paranaense made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emil Cetnar was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Shaolin soccer's Wit Kajder got a free kick in the 57th minute. Glauco Paranaense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Emil Cetnar made a huge save. Emil Cetnar was a little too slow when Eliézer Ramos got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 60th minute. The score was now 0-5. Emil Cetnar stood somewhat misplaced when Eliézer Ramos came free in front of goal and shot 0-6 to the left of him in the 63 minute. Shaolin soccer's Emil Cetnar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís de Lara in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Krzysztof Osielski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, CE LAJEADENSE RS's Emil Cetnar threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eliézer Ramos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 70 minutes into the game, Luís de Lara was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CE LAJEADENSE RS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Shaolin soccer the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís de Lara in the 75th minute of play forced Shaolin soccer's goalkeeper Emil Cetnar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emil Cetnar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís de Lara went, in the 80th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. Emil Cetnar made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Glauco Paranaense sent off a good shot on target. After 86 played minutes CE LAJEADENSE RS got a freekick which was hit by Natanael Pinheiro. Zbigniew Czerner shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. CE LAJEADENSE RS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
