Ignacio Ebere struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Jonatan Mel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club El Progreso. The supporters of Club El Progreso booed when Silver Play 2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Azeari didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonatan Mel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Apolo Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Jonatan Mel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ignacio Ebere in the 24th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Silver Play 2 defense, Apolo Ramos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonatan Mel. The Silver Play 2 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonatan Mel should have stopped the shot. In the 29th match minute, Silver Play 2 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Argoitz to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artemio Hegoi in the 36th minute of play forced Silver Play 2's goalkeeper Jonatan Mel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th match minute, Silver Play 2 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Garcia to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 52 minutes, Baldomero Salomon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club El Progreso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baldomero Salomon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Silver Play 2 getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Marcelo Lehen hit a great ball. With a little luck, Silver Play 2's Jonatan Mel got control of the ball when Apolo Ramos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Apolo Ramos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Jonatan Mel made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artemio Hegoi in the 61st minute of play forced Silver Play 2's goalkeeper Jonatan Mel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lorenzo Argoitz in the 62nd minute of play forced Club El Progreso's goalkeeper Juan Vergaray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ramon Garcia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 72nd minute Ignacio Ebere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonatan Mel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute, Lorenzo Argoitz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonatan Mel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artemio Hegoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pascual Gomesano in the 96th minute of play forced Silver Play 2's goalkeeper Jonatan Mel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Club El Progreso could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Silver Play 2 throughout the match.
