After a rather tough play, Monky FC's Nicolas Anaya got a free kick in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the game, Edwin Aukes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Casimiro Vermudo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 11thth minute of the game Edwin Aukes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Monky FC's Casimiro Vermudo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Casimiro Vermudo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwin Aukes, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Gabriele Batistuta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Edwin Aukes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olivier Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Sengrat, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. If Bartolo Nafarroa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolfo Sengrat got free with Olivier Kahn in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edwin Aukes to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Monky FC booed when Lemel SV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ton Janus didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 53rd minute, Florentino Veronica hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adolfo Sengrat hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ton Janus in the 61st minute of play forced Monky FC's goalkeeper Casimiro Vermudo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Adolfo Sengrat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the game, Ton Janus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lemel SV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monky FC the free kick. After 72 played minutes Lemel SV got a freekick which was hit by Ton Janus. Ton Janus struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Casimiro Vermudo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lemel SV. 81 minutes into the game, Serge de Boer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lemel SV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Monky FC the free kick. Serge de Boer hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Monky FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Lemel SV for much of the match.
