When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Arto Hytönen sped through IFK Kik's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Håkan Botvidsson. Håkan Botvidsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arto Hytönen in the 12th minute of the match. Lasse Virolainen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patrik Myr's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kultapossukerho's zone, Egon Åkerström stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lasse Virolainen came out of the goal and Egon Åkerström tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Kultapossukerho booed when IFK Kik was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mark Siggman didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute Arto Hytönen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Håkan Botvidsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. IFK Kik's Patrik Myr got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kultapossukerho's Lasse Virolainen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrik Myr in the 34th minute of play. Håkan Botvidsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arto Hytönen in the 35th minute. Lasse Virolainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patrik Myr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arto Hytönen took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Håkan Botvidsson. Håkan Botvidsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Kultapossukerho's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
