Rolando Erasto came out of the goal and Froilan Gomesano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aquilino Tajo kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Rolando Erasto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Raul Castulo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franja Dorada's Florencio Bertol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Markel in the 34th minute of play. Florencio Bertol was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Lino Ekialde capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lino Ekialde really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 42nd minute, Estudiantes de América's Javier Markel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Florencio Bertol. Florencio Bertol yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Florencio Bertol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Javier Markel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moises Napier was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Javier Markel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florencio Bertol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 59 minutes into the match, Franja Dorada's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Bautista came free, but Florencio Bertol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 61 minutes into the match, Franja Dorada's goal looked a bit too open when Javier Markel came free, but Florencio Bertol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Franja Dorada defense, Javier Markel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florencio Bertol. The Franja Dorada fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florencio Bertol should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Estudiantes de América getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Bernardo Quiroga hit a great ball. After 89 played minutes Franja Dorada got a freekick which was hit by Froilan Gomesano. Florencio Bertol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Bitxintxo in the 90th minute of the match.
