Spectators: 157 (Terracing: 118, Seating: 36, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Filiberto Santelices kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the game, Zuberoa Sanguino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Astillero del Guayas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave DEOXYS F.C. the free kick. Zuberoa Sanguino kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. Zaquiel Boñar might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fidel Barrios. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zaquiel Boñar ran back to his position shaking his head. Santiago Aguayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With an all-out effort, DEOXYS F.C.'s Vinicio Collado threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Filiberto Santelices, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Astillero del Guayas's Zuberoa Sanguino got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Santiago Aguayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Collado having to interfere. After having played for 31 minutes, Zaquiel Boñar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Astillero del Guayas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zaquiel Boñar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vicente Artaño kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Zaquiel Boñar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Vinicio Collado managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when DEOXYS F.C.'s Filiberto Santelices fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Carredano made a kick off. Fidel Barrios made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Zaquiel Boñar sent off a good shot on target. In the 56th minute, Astillero del Guayas's Zaquiel Boñar ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fidel Barrios. Fidel Barrios yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Fidel Barrios made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Corozo Nevares sent off a good shot on target. Filiberto Santelices received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Vinicio Collado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zaquiel Boñar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Fidel Barrios made a huge save. In the 75th match minute, Astillero del Guayas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zuberoa Sanguino to maneuver through the defense. Fidel Barrios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corozo Nevares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the match, Diego Carredano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fidel Barrios, 0-2. In the 86th match minute, DEOXYS F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Artaño to maneuver through the defense. After 87 played minutes, Astillero del Guayas's Zuberoa Sanguino shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fidel Barrios came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Astillero del Guayas reached it. Fidel Barrios made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Zaquiel Boñar sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Astillero del Guayas eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
