Petre Babarada was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Astillero del Guayas's Rodney Cosca shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 16th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Petre Babarada but with some difficulty. Petre Babarada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Carredano in the 18th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Astillero del Guayas's Rodney Cosca got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Astillero del Guayas! Astillero del Guayas:s Vinicio Collado showed great skill when he stopped Valer Barbăroșie:s penalty. In the 30th minute, Valer Barbăroșie made a precise shot to the right of Vinicio Collado. Astillero del Guayas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Astillero del Guayas's Vinicio Collado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valer Barbăroșie in the 34th minute of play. Zaquiel Boñar kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 38 minutes into the match, Astillero del Guayas's goal looked a bit too open when Nicu Enceanu came free, but Vinicio Collado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicu Enceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Carpathian Wolves's Gigi Miclescu got a free kick in the 43rd minute. A collision led to Astillero del Guayas getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Efrain Meruelo hit a great ball. Nicu Enceanu might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vinicio Collado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nicu Enceanu ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

After a defensive mix-up in Astillero del Guayas's zone, Nicu Enceanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinicio Collado came out of the goal and Nicu Enceanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 54th minute, Gavril Ionete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Astillero del Guayas getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Rodney Cosca hit a great ball. Nicu Enceanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicu Enceanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Vinicio Collado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Valer Barbăroșie took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Vinicio Collado to make any attempt to save it. Zaquiel Boñar hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Valer Barbăroșie struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Vinicio Collado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carpathian Wolves. 81 minutes into the game, Eusebiu Uncescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carpathian Wolves's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Astillero del Guayas the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of Carpathian Wolves:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Astillero del Guayas:s goal. In the 82nd minute there was a penalty for Astillero del Guayas. Zuberoa Sanguino stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Petre Babarada. 2-3. Nicu Enceanu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vinicio Collado having to interfere. Vinicio Collado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valer Barbăroșie, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Zaquiel Boñar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Petre Babarada. Carpathian Wolves's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zaquiel Boñar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3.
