The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 2nd match minute, FC Gdansk36 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zula Gejda to maneuver through the defense. Claudinei Silveira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Witold Matela made a huge save. 5 minutes into the game, Que se abra o mar's Gino Amaral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Witold Matela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Witold Matela was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Claudinei Silveira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 8 minute of play. The supporters of FC Gdansk36 booed when Que se abra o mar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Paulo Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Que se abra o mar's zone, Marek Czekaj stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leandro Cardozo came out of the goal and Marek Czekaj tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 20 minutes of play, Que se abra o mar's Gino Amaral made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Witold Matela was left in no man's land by his defense there! 23 minutes into the game, Que se abra o mar's João Carlos Baptista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Witold Matela made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Ronaldo Serra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Witold Matela having to interfere. The supporters of Que se abra o mar booed when FC Gdansk36 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Konrad Kanczuszewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Ronaldo Serra notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of FC Gdansk36's Witold Matela. Witold Matela was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Witold Matela was out of position in the 33 minute of play, and Ronaldo Serra capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ronaldo Serra really showed his touch with that goal: 6-0. In the 40th minute, Ronaldo Serra reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Witold Matela. The goal made the score 7-0. FC Gdansk36's Witold Matela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Amaral in the 43rd minute of play. Witold Matela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino Amaral in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 7-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Marek Czekaj made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Que se abra o mar's goal looked a bit too open when Zula Gejda came free, but Leandro Cardozo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Gdansk36's Witold Matela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gino Amaral in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute, FC Gdansk36's Zula Gejda dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 7-2. Witold Matela came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Que se abra o mar's Gino Amaral. But to his dismay, Gino Amaral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-2. Witold Matela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Serra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marek Czekaj recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When FC Gdansk36's Zula Gejda in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Que se abra o mar's goalie prevented a goal. After 76 played minutes Que se abra o mar got a freekick which was hit by Jonathan Nunes. Marek Czekaj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro Cardozo having to interfere. Hudson Esteves kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. If Marek Czekaj had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Jonathan Nunes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Witold Matela was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Leandro Cardozo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zula Gejda in the 89th minute of the match. Franciszek Bury's late challenge caught a Que se abra o mar's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Franciszek Bury helped the player get up and apologised. Franciszek Bury kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. 96 minutes into the match, Claudinei Silveira notched a goal, 9-2, to the right of FC Gdansk36's Witold Matela. Witold Matela was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Que se abra o mar's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
