Tommy Ahlgren charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tommy Ahlgren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 3rd minute, Tommy Ahlgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 4 played minutes, Que se abra o mar's Wellington Rezende shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Harald Gustavsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Que se abra o mar reached it. The supporters of Que se abra o mar booed when FC South Park was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Skröder didn't get a good kick on the ball. 19 minutes into the match, FC South Park's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Serra came free, but Harald Gustavsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC South Park's zone, Claudinei Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Harald Gustavsson came out of the goal and Claudinei Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harald Gustavsson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinei Silveira in the 23rd minute of the match. FC South Park's Tommy Ahlgren got his second yellow card of the match in the 23rd minute. The referee ordered Tommy Ahlgren off the ground. In the 24th minute, Tommy Ahlgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the game, Wellington Rezende was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Que se abra o mar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC South Park the free kick. Wellington Rezende hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Harald Gustavsson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ronaldo Serra's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. The Que se abra o mar fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Que se abra o mar's Claudinei Silveira looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. From close distance Calle Lind pressed in the 1-1 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 34 minutes into the game. Harald Gustavsson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudinei Silveira went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Leandro Cardozo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calle Lind, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After the first half Que se abra o mar were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Calle Lind blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leandro Cardozo having to make a save. Ronaldo Serra received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Harald Gustavsson came out and tried to block the shot, but Ronaldo Serra slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 54th minute. Ronaldo Serra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Harald Gustavsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudinei Silveira came free with the goalkeeper in the 62nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Harald Gustavsson could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, FC South Park's Calle Lind got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute of the match, Ronaldo Serra tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Harald Gustavsson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Claudinei Silveira's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Harald Gustavsson firmly grabbed it by the left post. A collision led to Que se abra o mar getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. João Carlos Baptista hit a great ball. When Sebastian Arenius came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the FC South Park fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastian Arenius couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Que se abra o mar getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Luís Paulo Queiroz hit a great ball. In the 73rd minute of the match Sebastian Arenius shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leandro Cardozo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 74 played minutes Que se abra o mar got a freekick which was hit by Sydney Mota. In the 75th minute Calle Lind shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Cardozo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ronaldo Serra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, one of Que se abra o mar:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Que se abra o mar. The referee gave FC South Park a penalty, 82 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sebastian Arenius, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Que se abra o mar's Leandro Cardozo. 2-3. Harald Gustavsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Serra in the 95th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
