If Jeferson de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Beltrao F.C booed when Diablos Rojos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Villalcazar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elano Recife could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Celestino Villamañan made a huge save. A hard shot 25 in the game by Elano Recife from a close distance when the talented Celestino Villamañan managed to make a qualified save. Diablos Rojos's players were relieved. Wiliam Reis hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. 34 minutes into the match, Diablos Rojos's goal looked a bit too open when Jeferson de Sousa came free, but Celestino Villamañan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Beltrao F.C's Alfredo Vergílio couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Diablos Rojos. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Edelmiro Villalcazar made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Lionel-Andrés Messias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Diablos Rojos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 55 minutes into the game, Edelmiro Villalcazar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Romeu Torres. Edelmiro Villalcazar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. In the 64th play minute Sefa Özdemir came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Romeu Torres. 0-4. Romeu Torres was a little too slow when Edelmiro Villalcazar got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 0-5. Romeu Torres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lionel-Andrés Messias in the 90th minute. If Jeferson de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 96th minute Elano Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celestino Villamañan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Beltrao F.C lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
