The tension between the Beltrao F.C and the Red Bull Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Beltrao F.C's Hudson Guimarães got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 25th match minute, Beltrao F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Zanette to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oliver Rajkov got free with Romeu Torres in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oliver Rajkov was the one to do the kick off. Beltrao F.C's Elano Recife got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Red Bull Club booed when Beltrao F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeferson de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 minutes, Elano Recife mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Beltrao F.C and the Red Bull Club players grew even worse after the yellow card.
