After 20 minutes of play, KS Ruch Chorzów's Karol Kornatowski made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ognen Zografski was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Red Bull Club booed when KS Ruch Chorzów was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gilbert Kissel didn't get a good kick on the ball. 30 minutes into the match, KS Ruch Chorzów's goal looked a bit too open when Dritan Kralevski came free, but Boleslaw Chlapowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half KS Ruch Chorzów were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Gilbert Kissel's late challenge caught a Red Bull Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After having played for 80 minutes, Bartosz Pisarcik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KS Ruch Chorzów's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bartosz Pisarcik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, KS Ruch Chorzów's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Rajkov came free, but Boleslaw Chlapowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 95 played minutes KS Ruch Chorzów got a freekick which was hit by Kajetan Jazwiec. When Slave Uzunov came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Red Bull Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Slave Uzunov couldn't finish the play. The KS Ruch Chorzów supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KS Ruch Chorzów would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
