Dimitri Huijbreghts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casimiro Gonzales in the 15th minute of play. Esquirla FC's Dimitri Huijbreghts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Erlantz in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anier Sazon in the 19th minute of play forced Esquirla FC's goalkeeper Dimitri Huijbreghts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabian Bazil kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The Esquirla FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dimitri Huijbreghts should have stopped the shot. After 41 played minutes Marlin FC got a freekick which was hit by Prudencio Chuse. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 66 played minutes Marlin FC got a freekick which was hit by Cosme Erramun. 71 minutes into the match, Philippe-Arnaud Van den Plas notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Marlin FC's Timoteo Evis. Timoteo Evis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a little luck, Esquirla FC's Dimitri Huijbreghts got control of the ball when Anier Sazon tried to sneak it across the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, Alfonso Pudes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dimitri Huijbreghts, 2-5. When Florentino Esiquio came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Marlin FC fans jumped to their feet. The crowd rose to their feet as Marlin FC's Anier Sazon slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dimitri Huijbreghts. That made the score 2-6 after 93 minutes of play. Anier Sazon charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Anier Sazon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Marlin FC's Anier Sazon got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Marlin FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
