Dimitri Huijbreghts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rubinho Azevedo in the 19th minute. Esquirla FC's Dimitri Huijbreghts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thomás Massa in the 22nd minute of play. Paulo José de Sena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jelle De Boeck in the 26th minute of the match. Vladimir Koehler hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. With his leg Dimitri Huijbreghts managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Brazil Academy's Rony Aparecido fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Nando Quadros kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. With a little luck, Esquirla FC's Dimitri Huijbreghts got control of the ball when Nando Quadros tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dimitri Huijbreghts made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rubinho Azevedo in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute, Rubinho Azevedo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Brazil Academy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Rony Aparecido might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dimitri Huijbreghts. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rony Aparecido ran back to his position shaking his head. 55 minutes into the match, Esquirla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rubinho Azevedo came free, but Dimitri Huijbreghts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nando Quadros in the 56th minute of play forced Esquirla FC's goalkeeper Dimitri Huijbreghts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubinho Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Dimitri Huijbreghts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
