Matthijs van Zelst's late challenge caught a River Plate ® 9-12's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matthijs van Zelst helped the player get up and apologised. Matthijs van Zelst hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. The supporters of River Plate ® 9-12 booed when SV Wissenkerke was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klaas Jan Hellemons didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th match minute, River Plate ® 9-12 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nemesio Frisco to maneuver through the defense. Kenneth van der Leegte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mías Nico in the 33rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SV Wissenkerke's Ate Venema got a free kick in the 34th minute. Luis Gutierrez was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mariano Bombarda showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 40 minute of play. Koen Vrede fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Gutierrez having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerjan Staarman to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Alonso Ortega shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth van der Leegte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerjan Staarman in the 57th minute of play forced River Plate ® 9-12's goalkeeper Luis Gutierrez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kenneth van der Leegte showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Librado, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. A collision led to SV Wissenkerke getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Frits van Loo hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the game, German Santana recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kenneth van der Leegte. German Santana showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. SV Wissenkerke were furious when Klaas Jan Hellemons was red carded, 71 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 71 played minutes SV Wissenkerke got a freekick which was hit by Klaas Jan Hellemons. When Hernan Cresitobalo came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the River Plate ® 9-12 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernan Cresitobalo couldn't finish the play. Kenneth van der Leegte came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by River Plate ® 9-12's Mías Nico. But to his dismay, Mías Nico quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Rodolfo Raitin was extremely unlucky when he, in the 78th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The crowd rose to their feet as Rodolfo Raitin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kenneth van der Leegte. That made the score 1-3 in the 79 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Rodolfo Raitin took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Kenneth van der Leegte to make any attempt to save it. River Plate ® 9-12 played a much better game than SV Wissenkerke and deserved their victory. The SV Wissenkerke players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
