In the 21st minute Ofelio Errazquin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 汪朗岩 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Ostadar Cavaneros sped through 广州太阳神足球俱乐部's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of 汪朗岩. 毛骋默 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 汪朗岩 made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ostadar Cavaneros in the 37th minute of play. Luís Mejia came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by 广州太阳神足球俱乐部's 毛骋默. But to his dismay, 毛骋默 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Ostadar Cavaneros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. 汪朗岩 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Ostadar Cavaneros made the kick off in the second half. In the 63rdth minute of the game 毛骋默 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ¢σи єℓ вσℓѕσ иσ ¢σмρєтιѕ's Luís Mejia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 66th play minutes 毛骋默 shot 5-1, a short shot which went by Luís Mejia and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by 毛骋默 in the 74th minute of play forced ¢σи єℓ вσℓѕσ иσ ¢σмρєтιѕ's goalkeeper Luís Mejia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute of the match Urki Lacle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but 汪朗岩 showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of 广州太阳神足球俱乐部 booed when ¢σи єℓ вσℓѕσ иσ ¢σмρєтιѕ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernabel Iruleta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 86th play minutes 毛骋默 shot 6-1, a short shot which went by Luís Mejia and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 94th match minute, 广州太阳神足球俱乐部 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 余希振 to maneuver through the defense. When Sidro Taladriz came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the ¢σи єℓ вσℓѕσ иσ ¢σмρєтιѕ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidro Taladriz couldn't finish the play. ¢σи єℓ вσℓѕσ иσ ¢σмρєтιѕ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
