A collision led to Progresul Pitesti getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Matei Stelian hit a great ball. In the 6th minute, Alto Forró sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Progresul Pitesti's Victor Ciociu didn't even have to move. Victor Ciociu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Furtado in the 10th minute of play. Progresul Pitesti's Victor Ciociu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Hartz in the 12th minute of play. Victor Ciociu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. 16 minutes into the match, Garchofila FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dragoş Oloieru came free, but Abel Lapurdi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 minutes Garchofila FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ion Ţeica who took care of the corner kick. Victor Ciociu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teofilo Furtado's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After a rather tough play, Progresul Pitesti's Matei Stelian got a free kick in the 29th minute. After a long run with the ball, Arnaldo Bortzaioriz did a trick in the 31st minute in front of Progresul Pitesti's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 1-1. An impressive performance by Garchofila FC's Arnaldo Bortzaioriz! In the 35th minute Valentin Hartz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Ciociu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valentin Hartz in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Ciociu saved Progresul Pitesti from getting behind. Victor Ciociu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Teofilo Furtado made the kick off in the second half. Horaţiu Manafu kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. With a little luck, Progresul Pitesti's Victor Ciociu got control of the ball when Teofilo Furtado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Victor Ciociu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Teofilo Furtado in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by George Buteanu in the 66th minute of play forced Garchofila FC's goalkeeper Abel Lapurdi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the game, Teofilo Furtado recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Victor Ciociu. Teofilo Furtado showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. When Garchofila FC's Teofilo Furtado in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 84th minute, George Buteanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 94 minutes into the match, Progresul Pitesti's goalkeeper Victor Ciociu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Teofilo Furtado. The supporters of Garchofila FC booed when Progresul Pitesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horaţiu Manafu didn't get a good kick on the ball.
