Daniel Chirea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nando Leão in the 16th minute. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Maicon Quintal put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Daniel Chirea. Club Vertigo's Daniel Chirea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nico de Mendonça in the 23rd minute of play. Daniel Chirea made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ronaldinho Braga in the 24th minute. Daniel Chirea stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nico de Mendonça's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. MINEIROS's Maicon Quintal was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 38th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Nico de Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Daniel Chirea made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when David Giubelean stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Daniel Chirea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nico de Mendonça in the 51st minute of play. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Maicon Quintal sped through Club Vertigo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Daniel Chirea. Nico de Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Chirea read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. MINEIROS's Luiz Fábio Schmidt was substituted for Ronaldinho Braga.
